Haywards Heath Golf Club Planning Application – DM/20/0559

Outline application for the demolition of existing Clubhouse, Pro Shop, storage buildings, and 2 no. dwellings, change of use from Golf Course, and erection of up to 725 new dwellings, including 30% affordable housing. Alterations to High Beech Lane. Provision of associated infrastructure including recreation facilities including public open space and play space, community facilities and retail, provision of pedestrian linkages, landscaping and drainage. All matters to be reserved except for access.

This meeting is organised by Lindfield Rural Parish Council and Lindfield Parish Council, in conjunction with Haywards Heath Town Council and Ardingly Parish Council.


Representatives for the developers, Planning Authority, landowners, Golf Club, elected councillors for Parish, Town, District and County, as well as the local Member of Parliament, and other interested parties will be invited to the meeting, which is intended to collect the views of residents and inform the respective Council’s responses to the Planning Authority (Mid Sussex District Council).

All are welcome to attend the meeting; however, the venue has a maximum capacity of 360 people and, regrettably, potential attendees will be turned away if this limit is reached.


Residents are invited to provide comments in advance of the Public Meeting to their local councils through Survey Monkey, Facebook or email. However, as the decision maker, resident’s responses to the application should be sent to Mid Sussex District Council via their Planning Portal – using the planning reference above, by Monday, 6th April 2020.
